Our partnership with Football SA is about designing the emotional infrastructure of a brand with deep community roots. Together, we’re building a long-term narrative system that includes strategic audience messaging, brand storytelling frameworks, and cinematic hero content.
Context & Challenge
Football SA was seeking to elevate its brand presence and emotional connection with audiences—especially across its youth programs, referee initiatives, and wider community engagement efforts. With multiple audience segments and strategic goals, a flexible but cohesive storytelling system was needed.

Our Framework in Action
short form stories
We developed emotionally-driven short-form content that speaks to specific audience segments:
– African Youth Program Series – Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts highlighting real youth voices, community moments, and aspirations.
– Referee Pathway Campaign – LinkedIn & Facebook-focused shorts targeting coaches, young athletes, and parents, changing the perception of the referee journey.
Each video was mapped to a key emotional pillar and designed for repurposing across social, email, and presentation decks.
Program Teaser Documentary
We created a high-impact documentary teaser introducing Football SA’s strategic community programs – like the African youth Program shown below – designed to serve as website anchor content and internal + external stakeholder alignment piece displayed at State Government, SAPOL, Flinders University, and other key partners.
We also crafted an upbeat cinema spot for Kickstart’s new school holiday campaign as a different kind of awareness stage content — designed to spark excitement in young kids and give parents the nudge they need to sign up. Packed with playful action shots and a cheerful voiceover that speaks directly to families, the ad positions football not just as a sport, but as a joyful first step into confidence, friendships, and active school holidays.
